Our Ph.D. program started in January 2008. Our main concentration areas are Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Applied Math, Differential Geometry, Dynamical Systems, Symplectic Geometry and Topology. Since 2012, we are graded 5 (maximum 7) by CAPES.
In order to obtain our Ph.D. degree, the student must complete:
The Oral Qualification Exam, whose content in 2 distinct areas must be pre-approved by the Main Committee, must be taken up to 1 year after starting the program.
The Ph.D. thesis must contain an original and relevant contribution to the corresponding area of Mathematics.
Every course has 60 hours (4 credits), except those marked with *, which have 90 hours (6 credits).
Courses named "Topics" have 60h (4 credits); others have 30h (2 credits).
