Master Program (2022-)

Our M.Sc. Program was created in 1970 and reshaped in 1991. Since 2012, we are grade 5 (max 7) from CAPES. Our concentration areas are Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Applied Math, Differential Geometry, Dynamical Systems and Topology.

Degree Requirements

In order to obtain our M.Sc. degree, the student must complete:

• 9 M. Sc. level courses from at least 3 distinct "groups" (list below, syllabi in Portuguese);
• Qual Exam (M. Sc. level);
• English Exam;
• M. Sc. Dissertation.

Our Qual Exam is composed of written and oral exams, whose contents come from Analysis on Rⁿ or Algebra I.
